On May 7th and 8th, a group of 71 Secondary 4 students and teachers embarked on an eye-opening "Foshan Career Exploration Trip." This two-day journey was designed to broaden our students' horizons and provide a first-hand look at the rapid professional and cultural developments within the Greater Bay Area.
Throughout the trip, our teachers and students visited six different organizations. These visits were more than just tours; they were platforms for active exchange and meaningful discussion. Students engaged deeply with industry professionals, gaining insights that simply cannot be found in a classroom.
Highlights from the Journey
- Discovering Foshan’s Heritage: At the Foshan City Exhibition Hall, students explored the unique history and vibrant culture of the city. The interactive facilities were a major hit, allowing everyone to learn through play and experience the "fun" side of technology and urban planning.
- Gaining a Global Perspective: By witnessing the growth of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) firsthand, students gained a much clearer understanding of the economic landscape and the diverse opportunities awaiting them after graduation.
- Inspiration for the Future: The most significant takeaway was the impact on Life Planning. Seeing various career paths in action sparked profound inspiration, helping students reflect on their own goals and future aspirations.
It was a truly rewarding experience for all involved, leaving our S4 cohort with invaluable knowledge and a renewed sense of direction for their personal career journeys!
